The Reunion Technopole was born in September 2001, a joint will of public institutions, actors in the higher education and the business world.
All these actors have federated around the same ambition: to make innovation a tool for the development of Reunion.
Constituted in Association Law 1901, the Reunion technopole enjoys a network of 117 members (in 2013) within the worlds of the company, research, higher education and communities. It can also count on the support of Retis, a French network of innovation of which it is a director and which brings together all the complementary players in innovation in France. Including 49 technopolies, 35 incubators, 38 European corporate and innovation centers and 8 competitiveness centers.
The Reunion Technopole is located on two sites, one in the north of the island, the other in the south, entirely dedicated to the success of any innovative business or project:

La Technopole de La Réunion est née en septembre 2001, œuvre d'une volonté commune des institutions publiques, des acteurs de la Formation supérieure et du monde de l'Entreprise.
Tous ces acteurs se sont fédérés autour d’une même ambition : faire de l’innovation un outil de développement de La Réunion.
Constituée en Association loi 1901, la Technopole de La Réunion jouit d’un réseau de 117 adhérents (en 2013) au sein des mondes de l’Entreprise, de la Recherche, de la Formation Supérieure et des Collectivités. Elle peut également compter sur le soutien de RETIS, réseau français de l’innovation dont elle est administrateur et qui rassemble l’ensemble des acteurs complémentaires de l’innovation en France. Dont 49 Technopoles, 35 Incubateurs, 38 Centres Européens d’Entreprise et d’Innovation et 8 Pôles de compétitivité.
La Technopole de La Réunion est implantée sur deux sites, l’un dans le nord de l’île, l’autre dans le sud, entièrement dédiés à la réussite de toute entreprise ou projet innovant :
