Algae Technology and Innovation Centre
Créé en 1982 et situé dans la 1ère région européenne productrice d’algues, le CEVA est le seul centre technique en Europe dédié à l’étude et à la valorisation des algues & des végétaux marins et à la biotechnologie marine. Il met son expertise au service du monde professionnel, industriel et des services publics. Il contribue à l’amélioration de la qualité des eaux littorales, et au développement économique durable des filières productrices et utilisatrices d’algues.
Il mène des actions de recherche appliquée et de développement, de prototypage, de démonstration et de mise en œuvre pré-industrielle sur plusieurs thématiques (qualité de l’eau, traitement des effluents, produits algosourcés innovants, biomatériaux...). Outre la R&D à façon ou les prestations d’assistance technique, il participe à des projets de recherche de type collaboratif, au niveau national, européen et mondial.
Doublement qualifié en 2018 Institut technique agro-industriel et Institut technique agricole, le CEVA apporte des solutions fiables et durables aux acteurs de la filière algue en France, en Europe et partout dans le monde.
CEVA is a 40 years old Technology and Innovation Centre devoted to algae (seaweed and microalgae), from natural biology and production and their applications in Food, Nutrition & Health, Cosmetics, Feed, Agriculture and Plant health, as well as bio-based products (energy, chemicals, materials,...). Our strength is to address all fields of the algae value-chain through an extensive organization built around three strategic business units: Ecology and Environment, Aquaculture & Sourcing, Innovation & Products.
CEVA gathers in a single entity all the competencies and tools needed for sustainable development of algal products, spanning from environment and biomass monitoring, to production, characterization and processing. We also provide training and consultancy, as well as analytical and toll-production services.
