Qu’est-ce que TED ?
Depuis 25 ans, la conférence américaine TED rassemble des esprits brillants dans leur domaine pour partager leurs idées avec le monde. TED est un événement annuel où les plus grands talents internationaux sont invités à partager leurs passions. « TED » signifie Technology, Entertainment,Design – trois grands domaines, qui, ensemble, façonnent notre avenir. Mais l’événement ne s’arrête pas là et présente des idées quelle que soit la discipline. Cette conférence inspirante de 4 jours rassemble des participants – PDG, scientifiques, créateurs, philanthropes – presque aussi extraordinaires que les intervenants (dont Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Frank Gehry, Paul Simon, Sir Richard Branson, Philippe Starck et Bono).
Qu’est-ce que TEDx ?

Le x signifie qu’il s’agit d’événements qui sont organisés indépendamment tout en respectant un certain nombre de critères définis par TED. En France, de nombreuses villes ont déjà accueilli une conférence TEDx. Plus qu’un évènement éphémère, la majorité des villes a fait des conférences TEDx des manifestations annuelles qui s’inscrivent dans la durabilité.
La Touraine, terre d’idées depuis toujours, a reçu son premier TEDx Tours en juin 2015. Nous ne pouvions accueillir Léonard de Vinci, Honoré de Balzac ou René Descartes, mais nous avons tout mis en oeuvre pour vous inspirer avec les talents d’aujourd’hui et diffuser les idées de demain.
