The European Court of Auditors is the external auditor of the European Union (EU) and, as such, one of the EU institutions. Our auditors check if EU policies and programmes provide value for money, and if the collection of contributions to and spending from the #EUbudget is legal and regular.
We work for you, the citizens of the EU, to safeguard that your money is well spent and well used.
