The other canal (LAC) is a public establishment of cultural cooperation (EPCC) dedicated to current music and constituted in Nancy in 2007 by three public partners: the State/Ministry of Culture/Regional Directorate of Grand Est Cultural Affairs, the Lorraine region that has become Grand Est and the city of Nancy.
Located in the heart of the Rives-de-Methe district near the hyper center, it has equipment designed by Anne-Françoise Jumeau architects-peripherals (property of the city of Nancy) including a large room (1293 seats), a club (351 places) and four rehearsal and recording studios. Its action is part of everyday life, mainly within its walls but also in various places of the territory.
With the SMAC (scene of current music scene) issued by the Ministry of Culture, the other channel deploys an artistic, cultural and territorial project (PACT) whose missions are multiple and interdependent.

L'Autre Canal (LAC) est un Établissement Public de Coopération Culturelle (EPCC) dédié aux musiques actuelles et constitué à Nancy en 2007 par trois partenaires publics : l’État/ministère de la culture/Direction Régionale des Affaires Culturelles Grand Est, la Région Lorraine devenue Grand Est et la Ville de Nancy.
Situé au cœur du quartier Rives-de-Meurthe à proximité de l’hyper centre, il est doté d’un équipement conçu par le cabinet Anne-Françoise Jumeau Architectes - Périphériques (propriété de la Ville de Nancy) comprenant une grande salle (1293 places), un club (351 places) et quatre studios de répétitions et d’enregistrement. Son action s’inscrit dans le quotidien, essentiellement dans ses murs mais aussi en divers lieux du territoire.
Disposant du label SMAC (Scène de Musiques Actuelles) délivré par le ministère de la culture, L’Autre Canal déploie un projet artistique, culturel et territorial (PACT) dont les missions sont multiples et interdépendantes.
