The Carnot label awarded by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, distinguishes excellence from public research institutes engaged in technology transfers to businesses.
The IC Arts, carried by the Arts and Crafts, has been labeled since the creation of the Carnot label in 2006. It now brings together 23 laboratories under 14 guardianships including the CNRS, the CNAM, the Naval School, the National Office for Aerospace Studies and Research, Universities and Grandes Schools of Engineers.
The IC Arts is managed by AMVALOR, a subsidiary for the valuation of arts and trades.

L’iC ARTS, porté par les Arts et Métiers, est labellisé depuis la création du label Carnot en 2006. Il rassemble désormais 23 laboratoires sous 14 tutelles dont le CNRS, le Cnam, l’Ecole Navale, l’Office National d’Etudes et de Recherches Aérospaciales, des universités et des grandes écoles d’ingénieurs.
