4e producteur de France, le groupe Hydrocop est une société spécialisée et dédiée à l’hydroélectricité depuis 2011.
Le groupe Hydrocop est né du regroupement d’entreprises locales d’énergie souhaitant développer ensemble des projets d’acquisition ou de construction d’installations hydroélectriques, afin d’assurer une partie de leur approvisionnement en électricité renouvelable.
La plupart de ces entreprises locales sont des sociétés d’économie mixte (SEM), dont le capital est majoritairement détenu par des acteurs publics. Impliquées dans la distribution et la fourniture d’énergie depuis plus de 100 ans, elles ont toujours été, par nature, des partenaires privilégiés des acteurs du territoire.
